`My Love of Soubise' - a feature taken from the  Rococo interior of the salon de la Hotel de Soubise in Paris,

grand residence of the prince of Soubise, remodelled around 1735, when a young sculptor in the employ of architect, Germain Boffrand, furtively inserted his own romantic detail after having had an  affaire de coeur there with the 16 year old Princess of Soubise, Anne Marie Louise,

who tragically died in childbirth the following year.

A 4 ¼" wide by 3" deep pewter necklace of intricate Rococo scrollwork with an enamelled black heart at its centre and a red Swarovski crystal on either side.

On a split trace chain, 16 ½" (42cm) long overall plus a 35mm extender.
